Underneath the sweet and gold mashed potato topping is where the savory pie hides. Ground turkey sautéed with onion, celery, and carrots; that are then seasoned with tomatoes, thyme, and rosemary. Once the filling is made, we fold in peas, place the filling in the pan, top with the mashed potatoes, the pie is then baked until golden. Each bite is savoy rich and delicious. We paired a mixed greens salad dressed in a cranberry vinaigrette and garnished with toasted walnuts and sliced apples. What a dinner.
