A classic comfort soup is only one click away. Our luscious cream of chicken soup starts out with the usual suspects of onions, carrots, and celery being sauteed in butter. Next we sprinkle in some flour and create a roux that thickens the soup. Home made chicken stock is added; along with parsley, thyme, and a bay leaf and the soup is brought to a simmer to allow the flavors to meld. The soup is then seasoned with heavy cream and dry sherry; that adds richness and flavor. Lastly we add in diced chicken and the soup is finished. Serve the soup piping hot with your favorite bread.
