Sweet and sour meatball soup? Yes, it is not just a holiday appetizer we have turned this classic app into a soup. The soup starts out with diced onions being sautéed with brown sugar and diced tomatoes. Beef stock is added next and the soup is brought to a simmer. The meatballs are made up of ground pork, lemon juice, eggs, cilantro, scallions and black pepper. The meatballs are hand made and dropped into the soup base to poach.
