All you need to add are some stalks of celery. The ground turkey is sautéed with chopped carrots, celery, onion and minded garlic; then seasoned with thyme and hot sauce. Next chicken stock, red wine vinegar and Worcestershire sauce are added and the joe comes to a simmer to thicken. Place your buffalo turkey joe on a toasted bun and top with blue cheese and pickles. We decided to couple the turkey sloppy joe with smashed potato skins, aka mashed potatoes with the skin on. These potatoes are mashed with buttermilk, crispy bacon, cheddar and butter.
