Shepherd’s Pie with Red Cabbage Salad with Almonds and Currants with Pancetta-Balsamic Vinaigrette

Yet another British classic entrée is on our menu for this week. If you have not had Shepard’s pie it is time you have. Ground lamb is sautéed with carrots, celery, pearl onions and peas all in a tangy tomato base seasoned with thyme and rosemary. Once the flavors meld in the meaty lamb base it is then topped with creamy mashed potatoes and baked. We paired the shepherd’s pie with a shaved red cabbage salad with toasted almonds and currants that is dressed in a pancetta balsamic vinaigrette.
This meal is ready to warm and enjoy.
