So much corn! Lots and lots of it and we love it. The fresh Michigan corn is at its peak right now and we are using it in this luscious chowder. In it you will find fresh grilled corn kernels being sautéed with onions until golden. Next we add milk and cream; then allow the chowder to come to a simmer. As it slowly simmers the chowder is seasoned with thyme, chives, and red pepper flakes. Lastly we add diced red potatoes. Every spoonful is creamy and has charred corn kernels. What a soup to enjoy out on the deck tonight. Be sure to have some oyster crackers on hand.
