Warm up today with a bowl of our cannellini bean and ham stew. It has all of the essential fall elements to it. Cannellini beans are cooked along side potatoes, leeks, celery, carrots, parsnips and cabbage until tender in a smoky ham broth. Once the veggies are tender diced ham is added to the stew. Once you are ready to serve be sure to place the toast in the stew and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Yum! We paired this entree with a kale salad that has tart cherries, fresh Michigan apples, toasted walnuts and a tart cider vinaigrette. The flavors and textures in this combo meal are amazing. What an essential fall meal.
