Texas-Style Oven-Roasted Beef Brisket with Sweet Potato, Bacon and Apple Hash

Beef brisket is one of our favorite cuts of beef and our favorite item to BBQ. This is similar to a traditional Texas style brisket you will find in Austin, just with out the smoke. The key here is to cook the brisket slow and low, plus season the brisket properly. Our dry rub has black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, dry mustard, salt, and a hint of sugar. We slow roast the brisket until fork tender and serve it thickly sliced. A sweet potato, apple, and bacon hash has been paired to go along with the brisket. The hash is smoky and sweet and is perfect side for this dish. You will be dreaming about this brisket.
