The chicken teriyaki part is pretty straight forward here. A tender chicken breast, pan sautéed and the glazed with a sweet soy sauce. Our house-made teriyaki  sauce is made with soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ginger, pineapple juice and a whisper of cinnamon. So it has all of the sweet and the hint of salt you crave from a delicious teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki chicken is served with a sticky rice “dressing”, a twist on holiday stuffing or dressings. Folded into the sticky white rice are sliced shiitake mushrooms, pieces of Chinese sausage, water chestnuts and chestnuts; all seasoned with a sweet soy sauce and sherry. You could say there is a lot going on in the rice dish, but you are going to enjoy every bite of it. It also makes for a great fried rice.
