If you are from the Midwest then you are very familiar with the obsession of anything strawberry rhubarb. This week we have a strawberry rhubarb crisp ready for you. Sliced strawberries and rhubarb are mixed with sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and cinnamon. This sweet base is then topped with a oatmeal, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour streusel that becomes the “crisp”. The two are baked until golden brown and delicious. This crisp is sweet, tangy and crunchy. You can have it warm or cold. Serve it for dessert or even for breakfast. Shhhh. Enjoy!
