We are right in the middle of soup weather. Any cup or bowl will suffice. This time we have a spiced carrot-lentil soup all ready for you. Grated carrots are sautéed with cumin seeds and a pinch of crushed red pepper. Next lentils and vegetable stock is added and the soup is brought to a simmer. Once the lentils are tender the soup is finished with a touch of milk and then pureed until smooth. Be sure to have some crackers on bread on hand to dunk in this soup.
